3 Reasons Manual Mode Will Improve Your Photos

I have no doubt that you have heard, time and time again, that if you want to improve your photos, and most importantly, get the images that you see in your head to translate to the camera,  you you need to learn how to shoot in manual mode.

But I also know that no matter how many times you hear that, you can feel reluctant to make that final switch to shooting in manual mode. I know because I went through the same time too! And I have taught thousands of students in my Auto to Awesome program who have done the same thing.

Which is why today, we’re going to dive into exactly WHY making the switch to shooting in manual mode is so darn important, and the difference it can make to your photos.

Tune in to learn:

  • What manual mode is, and how this differs from AUTO or the semi automatic modes in your camera

  • Why shooting in manual mode will allow you to get more creative images that look exactly the way you want them to.

  • The reason you are getting inconsistent exposures, and why manual mode puts an end to all of that (and why shooting in manual mode can often be easier!)

  • The everyday lighting situations that your camera can’t handle in any of the semi automatic mode (or at least not well or consistently!) and why being able to use trickier lighting situations will make for better photos.
