The Photography Learning Path To Take You From Beginner To Pro

Learning photography can often feel very overwhelming - there is much to learn, so many different factors and elements, and so much information to get your head around, that it can feel very daunting to know where to start, or what to focus on next.

This is obviously worse at the very beginning of your photography journey, when everything is brand new to you! But even if you have been shooting a while, it can be hard to know where to focus your efforts to get your photos to the NEXT level.

I’ve had a camera in my hand for 17 years, and have taught thousands of photographers, of all levels and abilities over the last 10, so over the years I’ve been able to see what a typical learning path looks like….and where we can go off course or get stuck!

Which is why on the podcast today I’m sharing a Photography Learning path with you that will take you all the way from beginner to advanced photographer, through 4 different “stages”

Here’s what we’re talking about today:

  • The 4 main areas to learn in photography

  • The ever-so-important first stage in everyone’s photography journey, and what you need to learn before you can progress any further.

  • How to approach learning the post production side of photography, and what you’ll need to learn (and the optional but fun stuff!)

  • The element of photography that can make or break your photos, and the list of things you might not have even known about!

  • Why the fourth and final stage is the most fun, and what you can focus on here for more creative photos.
