3 Quick & Easy Photography Challenges For When You're In a Creative Slump

Today, we’re talking about 3 different photography challenges you can do that are perfect for times when you feel like you’re in a creative slump, or just need a little kick up the backside to pick up your camera again!

I think every single photographer goes into a slump at one time or another - I know I do, and in fact I’m in one right now, which was actually what prompted this little video!!

Maybe you’re in business, and you can feel like you’re taking the same photos over and over again. Or maybe you’ve simply fallen into the comparison trap, and feeling disheartened about your own photos. Or maybe you just feel stuck or bored, and you don’t feel very inspired or motivated.

Regardless of what prompts it, when you have those feelings, your creativity suffers, and then you become less excited to pick up your camera.

And when you’re not practising, you’re not developing your skills, and when you’re not making progress, you’re even LESS likely to pick up your camera, so it can be a vicious circle!!

This is when a creativity exercise or photography challenge (whatever you want to call it) can be a useful tool to get yourself out of it. It gets you picking up your camera and shooting, and as you do that, you should start to feel yourself come out of your creative slump.

So in this weeks video, I’ll tell you what each of these challenges are, plus I’ll share some example photos from when I did these challenges so you can see them in action, which might hopefully give you some inspiration! Plus along the. way I’ll share some tips on how to make the most of each challenge.

The best part is, none of these challenges take particularly long, in fact, you can do one in as little as 30 minutes, so there’s absolutely no excuses :)

PLUS, be sure to download our free guide, which has, not one, not 10, not 20, but FIFTY ways to improve your photography. You’ll find a link to download it underneath the video!
