I’m Audrey Murray (although you may know me better as Audrey Ann!), a professional photographer turned photography educator with over 18 years of experience behind the camera and 14 years spent teaching others how to use theirs.
Through Live Snap Love, I’ve helped over 8,000 photographers around the world get to grips with their cameras, develop their skills, and create photographs they’re genuinely proud of.
And my mission is pretty simple:
To make learning photography easier, more enjoyable, and a whole lot less overwhelming!
Because I believe you don’t need expensive equipment, a photography degree, or endless hours studying technical theory to take beautiful photographs.
You just need someone to explain what actually matters, show you how to put it into practice, and give you the confidence to get out there and start creating.
And that’s exactly what I’m here to do!

A little more about me…
I’m a proud Scot, mum to one (now teenage!) boy, lover of trashy TV (Desperate Housewives, Scandal, Charmed… love ’em all!) and a HUGE introvert.
I’m also someone who believes that some of the most beautiful photographs come from the most ordinary moments.
The everyday details. The little things we tend to overlook. The moments that don’t seem particularly special at the time, but somehow become priceless years later.
That’s what first drew me to photography, and it’s still what inspires me today.
Of course, I also love getting creative with my camera, experimenting with different techniques, playing with light, and finding new ways to turn an ordinary scene into something a little extraordinary.
And one of my favourite things is helping other photographers discover that same joy.
Because photography isn’t just about knowing which buttons to press.
It’s about learning to see the world differently, finding the magic in the mundane, and having the skills to capture it exactly as you imagined.
Learning Photography doesn’t need to be so complicated!
Here’s something I’ve learned from 14 years of teaching photography…
Most people don’t struggle with photography because it’s too difficult.
They struggle because it’s often explained in a way that makes it seem far more complicated than it needs to be!
There’s SO much information out there about camera settings, lenses, lighting, composition and editing that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed before you’ve even picked up your camera.
And don’t get me started on tutorials that spend 20 minutes explaining the technical workings of a lens when all you really want to know is how to get a lovely blurry background!
That’s why I created Live Snap Love.
I wanted to make learning photography simpler, more practical, and (dare I say it?) actually enjoyable.
Rather than overwhelming you with technical jargon and theory you’ll probably never use, I focus on helping you understand what makes a difference to your photographs, why it matters, and exactly how to put it into practice.
That means clear explanations, real-world examples, step-by-step guidance, and plenty of opportunities to actually USE what you’ve learned.
Because knowing something in theory is one thing.
Being able to pick up your camera and confidently put it into practice?
That’s where the magic happens!
My goal is to help you become a more knowledgeable, confident and creative photographer, without boring you to tears or making your head explode in the process. 😉
