Photography Project: Currently

For this month's creativity exercise, we are going to switch gears a little bit (again! I like to mix it up 😄) and consider how we can document our lives, or the lives of the people we love, through photography.

Once again, it's a simple idea:  we are going to do this using a "currently" list.  It's such a wonderful way to document what your life looks like right NOW,  and not only that, but it will get your creative juices flowing as you need to decide how to capture these thoughts, feelings and actions.  So, it's documentary, but with a creative twist!

The Challenge

Take 7 different photographs that capture the "currently" list below.

  • Reading

  • Loving

  • Listening

  • Eating

  • Watching

  • Wearing

  • Wishing

That's it! There's no limits to how much time you take or how you capture them, so it's really simple. The only hard bit is having to think about how to show each one creatively!

You also have the choice as to whether to show what YOU personally are "currently" doing, or to document the lives of your children or child instead (or even mix the two).  If you are feeling especially creative you could do one for everyone in the family - it's a great way of getting a snapshot of this age and stage of your children.

I'll show you mine if you show me yours!

Well, actually, I'll show you some of mine

Time ran away from this week, having had an overwhelming urge to clean my kitchen cupboards instead. So, for wishing, you can insert a picture of a self cleaning oven.

Anyhoo, here's what I've got so far.....

Watching.....the light.

Loving........being out in the Jacuzzi in the evenings again.

Listening....To the soundtrack from Big Little Lies.

Eating......Salads!

Wearing.....Winter boots with shorts, apparently.  This is what happens when you let them dress themselves!

Now it's over to you! I’d love it if  you could share all or some of your images on Instagram with the hashtag #livesnaplove

That way we can all find one another, and share our images together!
