Black Friday Deals For Photographers 2020
We all love a good deal, which is why Black Friday is such a lovely time of year! If you’ve had your eye on something for a little while, then Black Friday / Cyber Monday is a great time to see whether there are any deals to be had.
But in case you’re not quite sure what to get, or just want some ideas, I’ve curated a list of black friday deals for photographers in 2020, so you can see some of what’s available. Some of these I personally use and love, and others I’ve included as alternatives for you, as they might suit you better!
I’ve also broken these by category, so you can dismiss some of these outright, for example if you’re not in business.
Ready? Let’s go!
Photography Gear
Amazon is always the first place I check for deals for photography gear and equipment! Go to their Camera and Photo section and see what deals there are to be had!
Some things to look out for are cameras & lenses, but also smaller items such as memory cards or white balance tools.
Photography Websites & Galleries
If you are looking to create a website for your photography business, you can get some pretty good deals for Black Friday! (Not sure how to create a website? you can read more about How to Create a Photography Website here) Here are some deals for you to consider:
bluehost:
If you’re creating a new website for your business, I recommend using wordpress.org and hosting it with Bluehost (you can get your domain name there too!) It’s definitely an effective and affordable way to get started with a professional site.
Bluehost is offering up to 60% off of website hosting, domains, and more.
SMUGMUG:
SmugMug is a photography gallery and simple website option rolled into one. I LOVE SmugMug, and although I don’t use as a website, I use it for any professional galleries, but also due to the fact that the storage is unlimited, I use it as an online backup for ALL my personal photos too (I have all the way back to 2008 on there!)
You can save 40% off a SmugMug account!
Photography Business Contracts
If you’re in business, then you want to make sure you’re legal! The Contract Shop has contracts specifically for photographers- check them out here.
Get up to 40% off contract templates between 10pm ET on Thursday November 22nd to Monday November 26th at The Contract Shop.
Photography Prints & Books
One of my (many) resolutions for next year is to get more off my photos off my hard drive and out into the world, and my favourite place for stylish displays and prints was Artifact Uprising. (They have since closed down their UK branch which was disappointing, but if you are in the US you are in luck!)
Check out Artifact Uprisings Offers Here.
Photography Editing
ADOBE
If you were hoping to get a deal on just the Photography Plan from Adobe, they don’t generally have one (probably because it is already incredible value) but you can get one on the Creative Cloud App.
Click here to see Adobe’s Black Friday Deals.
LUMINAR
An alternative to Adobe’s Photography Plan is Luminar, and it’s probably the closest you will get to Lightroom and Photoshop (that is definitely who they are trying to emulate) I haven’t personally used this, but it might be worth checking out. Keep in mind that with software like this, you need to pay for each upgrade, so it’s not one and done.
Check out the Luminar deals here.
Hope you enjoyed this little round up of the deals available, and that you snag yourself something lovely! Happy shopping,
Audrey x
